01 — Goal

Collect sets of four

A set is all four cards of one rank, like four Kings. The player with the most sets at the end wins.

02 — Setup

Deal 7 or 5

With two or three players, deal 7 cards each; with four or more, deal 5. Spread the rest face down in the middle: that’s the pond.

03 — A turn

Ask for a rank

Ask any player for a rank you already hold: “Do you have any sevens?” If they do, they hand over all of them and you ask again. If not, they say “Go fish!” and you draw one card from the pond.

04 — Winning

Most sets wins

Put each completed set face up in front of you. The game ends when all 13 sets are made.

05 — Tips

Play smarter

  • Remember who asked for what: they still hold that rank.

Go Fish

Deal 7 cards (5 with four or more players). Ask a player for a rank you hold. If they have it, take all of them; if not, “go fish” from the pile. Put down every set of four. Most sets wins.
