01 — Goal

Predict where the ball lands

A European wheel has 37 pockets: 1–36 in red and black, plus a green zero.

02 — Bets

Inside and outside bets

Inside bets cover single numbers or small groups and pay more. Outside bets (red/black, odd/even, 1–18/19–36, dozens, columns) win more often and pay less.

03 — The spin

No more bets

The dealer spins the wheel and the ball, calls “no more bets”, and pays winners once the ball settles.

04 — Scoring

Roulette

Place chips on the table: a single number, a group of numbers, red or black, odd or even, high or low. The dealer spins the wheel and the ball. Winning bets are paid by their odds; a single number pays 35 to 1. Zero is neither red nor black.
